🎉 Big News: We are Officially a NACCAS Candidate School!
We are thrilled to announce that Summit Barber Academy has been officially accepted as a candidate for accreditation by the National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts and Sciences (NACCAS).
What does this mean for our students?
Achieving candidacy status is a major milestone. It means our institution has successfully completed the initial application requirements and is actively working toward full national accreditation. NACCAS is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national accrediting agency for cosmetology, barbering, and beauty schools.
While candidate status does not guarantee final accreditation or immediate access to federal financial aid, it is a formal recognition of our commitment to meeting the highest standards of education, business operation, and student success.

Summit Barber Academy Aurora presents an in-depth and professionally crafted Hairstyle program. Our Hairstyling License Program focuses strictly on cutting, coloring, and styling — so you can graduate sooner and start earning faster. Spanning 1200 hours, our curriculum perfectly blends theoretical learning with practical application, preparing students to excel in the dynamic world of hair. This program is designed to navigate the complexities of hairstyling, building a robust base for your burgeoning career.

Barber Program
Summit Barber Academy's students learn to provide exceptional hair services for men and women clients. They also learn the business side of the industry to set themselves up for success as a future stylist and store owner. Utilizing the education platform from Pivot Point and providing exclusive access to Summit's FUSE online curriculum, equips them with relevant and cutting edge training right at their fingertips.
The 1500-hour barber course curriculum is based on the barbering techniques prescribed by the State of Colorado for a barber license. The course includes all facets of hair services for male and female, including cutting with shears, razors and clippers. The course includes the applications of all chemical services, and the art of arranging the hair. Training includes two types of learning: theoretical knowledge and the practical experience to build the skills needed to be successful in the not only barbershops, but hair salon as well.
